On Tuesday, January 24th, following former president Marc Ravalomanana´s failed return home, the SADC summoned all of the main political leaders in this crisis, namely Marc Ravalomanana, Andry Rajoelina, the transitional regime´s number one, as well as Albert Zafy. La réunion devrait voir la participation des principaux belligérants à la crise. The armed forces´ leadership would have liked the leader of the HAT to issue a NOTAM against Marc Ravalomanana quite earlier. The army´s top command publicly stood against this comeback, and being challenged was not to its liking. The Airlink airways´ aircraft with Marc Ravalomanana on board broke its course over the Mozambique Channel as the pilot was not allowed to land in with the exiled president on board. A ban personally issued by the leader of the HAT popped up. The Communication Minister poorly tried to save the face, and the resulting strange contradiction conveyed irony throughout the web. He declared that the aircraft would have been ordered to land in on another airfield so that police forces are able to conduct proper arrest. L’avion Air Link ayant à son bord Marc Ravalomanana a rebroussé chemin. C’est en survolant le canal de Mozambique que le pilote a été averti de l’interdiction de débarquer le président de retour d’exil. L’information sur un NOTAM émis à la dernière par le président de la HAT a circulé. Le ministre de la Communication essaie de sauver la face en faisant un étrange démenti en ironisant sur une rumeur véhiculée sur le web. Selon lui, l’avion aurait été convié à atterrir vers un autre aéroport de Madagascar pour que les forces de l’ordre puissent procéder à l’arrestation.
