Andry Rajoelina, the transitional leader, opened one new hospital, housing facilities erected as part of the “presidential projects” as well as the restored City Hall building in Toamasina. He decided to meet with the local population, and celebrate as per usual with much much party fun, music and dance. Andry Rajoelina also took the opportunity to announce his candidacy at the year 2018’s presidential elections. Le président de la Transition, Andry Rajoelina, a inauguré un hôpital, des logements construits dans le cadre des "projets présidentiels" ainsi que la mairie rénovée de Toamasina. Il a eu l'occasion de rencontrer la population locale. Comme à chaque cérémonie d'inauguration, il y a eu beaucoup de musique et beaucoup de danse. Mais ce fut aussi une occasion pour Andry Rajoleina d'annoncer sa candidature à l'élection présidentielle de 2018. Le chef de la Transition a en effet renoncé à la présdentielle de 2013 en raison de la pression de la Communauté internationale, tout comme son principal rival politique, l'ancien président, Marc Ravalomanana.
