The Special Electoral Court's issued formal results of the first round of the year 2013's on going Malagasy presidential election did actually not create any major surprise and came up to the completion of a mere formal duty. The leading electoral Judge Francois Rakotozafy and his staff really made considerable efforts to make sure that results were agreeing, polling station after polling station. They also had to deal with some charges mainly pressed against presidential candidate Hery Rajaonarimampianina. Though the charges failed to knock him out of the race, the candidate suffered a symbolic sanction of invalidation of some thousands of votes in his favor. La proclamation des résultats du scrutin du 1er tour de l’élection présidentielle malgache de 2013 par la Cour électorale spéciale ne comportait pas de grandes surprises et a été une simple formalité. Le juge électoral François Rakotozafy et son équipe se sont donné du mal pour revérifier tous les PV des bureaux de vote. Elle a reçu certaines plaintes qu’elle a jugées recevables avant de les rejeter en bloc. Le candidat Hery Rajaonarimampianina est finalement qualifié pour le second tour malgré une sanction symbolique avec l’annulation ciblée d’une poignée de voix.
