No less than two former Prime Ministers are now interfering with the HAT propaganda. As the HAT ministers are straining to promote the constitutional project, Monja Roindefo and Tantely Andrianarivo are campaigning for the NO answer, The police forces are trying to master these potential contenders by hindering their meetings from taking place.

A couple of former Prime Ministers racing for power, aren’t they? The HAT playing in defense

Tantely Andrianarivo and Monja Roindefo Zafitsimivalo actually have many more in common than the fact of having been prime ministers. Both of them graduated at a very high level, both of them provided the Prime Minister’s job with quite a technical dimension, the former was the Ratsiraka regime’s mastermind, the latter, that of the Rajoelina one, and both of them are relevant contenders which the TGV, still in search of its candidate, is not underestimating. For the time being, Andry Rajoelina is being expected to run the presidential race, could the set to measure constitutional project be voted.

The opposition is boycotting the process, Tantely Andrianarivo and Monja Roindefo are now roaming across the island, denouncing the unilaterally tackled HAT referendum, the shadow of political deal which paved its way, and promoting the NO answer. The former HAT Prime Minister has turned against his former brothers in arms. „The current leaders have to resign, and only then legally promote their program to the people“; criticized Monja Roindefo. He denounced the hurried off projects aimed at fueling propanganda. „The HAT is not entitled to build hospital“, he stated?

The MONIMA party’s president is holding the Tsena Mora, the subsided supply of goods to the population’s lowest class, as a simple decoy, and in no way as a long term solution, and warned against the impact of such an operation. „Returns from the sale of Tiko’s rice did not fuel state accounts“ he unveiled.

In Toamasina, the Ratsiraka territory, Monja Roindefo held his great show, in front of Emmo Reg troops. The former HAT Prime Minister inspired from Napoleon’s speech and wore the year 2009’s popular hero’s red suit: „if I move forward, do follow me, if I move backwards, do kill me, and if I die, do mourn me“ while adding up a shadow of irony against the current leadership „the leader has to show the right way, here now, he is the one lurking in the rear lines“.

Tantely Andrianarivo is not as so comfortable with speeches. The AREMA party’s potential candidate is first and foremost recalling the good old time, promoting the potential continuation of the Ratsiraka era’s achievement. He promised the restauration of autonomous provinces, and strongly believes that postponing elections , including the referendum, is inevitable. African countries having been shaken by political transitional crisis did the same.

The AREMA party’s come back is a cause for concern for the HAT, six months to the presidential elections. Tantely Andrianarivo is repeatedly being hindered from holding meetings. The Emmo Reg’s pointless opposition to mobs of supporters and opponents served his publicity in a good deed
