The four mobilities are going to meet and strive to find an outcome to the Malagasy crisis. Some new groupings are insisting on getting involved in the process. Their chance to successfully catch the running train is, yet, very slim.

Forthcoming political under-mobilities

The two main belligerent mobilities of the 2009 crisis have both happened to be divided for the latest weeks. This situation has led to the creation of “under-mobilities”, also very keen on taking part into reflection meetings aiming at providing solutions to the Malagasy crisis.

The latest emerging under-mobility is led by Ravonison Ambroise, partisan of Marc Ravalomanana, recently cast aside by the leaders of the movement supporting the exiled President for not yet unveiled causes.

As having been denied access inside the Magro square since October 24, Ravonison decided to set up his own “legalistic mobility”, still supportive of Marc Ravalomanana, but separated from the Magro square demonstrators.

Ambroise Ravonison wrote a letter to international mediators to announce his desire to participate to the Addis-Ababa meeting.

In the camp of Andry Rajoelina, president of the High Authority of Transition, the dismissal of Prime minister Monja Roindefo definitely induced the creation of an “under-mobility”, supportive, this time around, of the Prime minister of the HAT. This faction has not yet officially put forth its desire to participate into the Addis-Ababa summit, although nothing keeps it away from doing so.
