Karaoke fever

All along the year, places proposing karaoke have significantly increased in number. They can be found through high as well as lower class districts of the capital city, in a middle sized snack as well as in a top class restaurant. 

The pre requirements make the difference. In some establishments, namely three or more stars restaurants, you have to order a complete meal (table entry, resistance, dessert) before being allowed to freely sing as long as you want to remain within the restaurant’s walls. The restaurant has an available repertoire of songs. We recently had the opportunity to attend such scene in family in one of these restaurants.  

In other different establishments named “karaoke-bar”, each sung song is cash; the price remains affordable but variable from an establishment to another: 150 ariary the song, or 300 ariary… It is all up to the establishment. Of course, since the price is already specified here, the singing customer is not compelled to consume anything in the establishment; however, it is widely known that singing out of refreshment is merriment out of fun. 

The youths are enjoying karaoke together while eating, drinking and having a “delirious” time out between friends. They admittedly agree on the fact that most of them are appalling to listen to, but also on the other fact that having a good time of fun, priceless moments to enjoy in friendship, is paramount. What about trying karaoke if you feel down?
