The independent anti corruption office revealed that only four acting ministers and one region chief out of the country’s 22 completed the report of their wealth

Leaders standing against transparency over their wealth

Since the beginning of the country’s more efficient struggle against corruption, the ruling power’s figures are supposed to draw a list of their wealth on a regular basis, as a way to avoid corruption and power abuses.

The process is finding hard to get through, though it is in no way compulsory. The anti corruption office has so far been restricting its action to simple public calls to compliance, while carefully avoiding to cause wrath and retaliation
