Soldiers loyal to the High Authority of Transition searched the ousted president Marc Ravalomanana's home. A "pirate radio station"'s antenna would be wanted.

Marc Ravalomanana’s home searched by soldiers

Early in the morning, some soldiers penetrated Marc Ravalomanana’s home, in Faravohitra. A search has been ordered by the transitional authorities. The target would be a pirate antenna broadcasting on 89.6 FM. The search began by noon and lasted several hours.

The state police colonel, Richard Ravalomanana, was on the scene. Commander of Antananarivo region’s state police, the colonel has become one of the shiest persecutors of his name sibling during the latest months.

Marc Ravalomanana’s attorney was also present in Faravohitra. By noon, soldiers found nothing at all at the ousted president’s home. The later is, as a reminder, still in exile in South Africa following the putsch back in 2009.

89.6 FM is an unknown channel, still particularly hard to receive for most of the capital city’s districts. Information concerning Marc Ravalomanana is constantly being broadcasted, but not yet on a regular time schedule. The station would have secretly been erected by Marc Ravalomanana’s supporters who judged the creation of a new media group in the dark irretrievable in face of “persecutions” against any station linked to the ousted president
