More of 1200 containers of rose wood exported within two and a half years

 
The year 2009´s putsch offered an illegal status to the country, and paved the way for the smuggle relieving its rose wood. Marc Ravalomanana, the ousted president was understandably pointed at by the High Authority of Transition for being the rose wood business´ mastermind, although the situation has regularly been worsening since his fall.    
The recent arrest of a transitional congress member involved in this kind of traffic did not contribute to improve a thing. When opening the HAT´s parliament´s extraordinary session, the president of the transitional Convention, Andrianantoandro Raharinaivo, argued that the detained parliamentarian would merely be a “small gun.”    
Behind the scene, the fact that scores of high ranked power holders fueling the business do need a scapegoat happens to be an opened secret.    
These latest year´s illegally exploited rose wood would already amount to some hundreds of hectares of cleared forests in the Great Isle´s protected areas.
