Nine army and national state police high ranked officers have produced a solemn declaration calling upon the armed forces' neutrality, and asking for the return of the exiled three political mobilities' return on home soil. They have been asked for accounts.

Officers inquired for having publicly called upon for the return of the political exiles

They have been arrested, released, and now convened by the army and national state police’s commands. Captain Rakotoniriana Rabarison and colonels Ravoavahy, Faustin Andriambahoaka, Randriamisaina, Toto Vincent, Emilien Ramboasalama, Raberanto, Jean Louis Rahembola and Mamisoa Raoelison called upon the armed forces’ neutrality and unity. Their declaration also called upon the return of the three political mobilities’ delegations banned from entering Madagascar by the transitional authorities.

The joint chief of staff, André Ndriarijaona, appeared, anyway, satisfied by the declaration’s call upon the army’s unity.

These officers would have been inquired in such way for having produced public statements without concerted authorization from above.

Shortly after the press conference in the Carlton hotel held on Tuesday December 15th, elements of the special Task force led by lieutenant colonels Charles Andrianasoavina and Lylison René, both proxies of Andry Rajoelina, swarmed through the hotel. They told reporters that they have come… to collect information.

Whatever the various interpretations it could take, the declaration produced by nine army and the state police high ranked officers is definitely a sign of antagonism, not only division in the so far silent green machine, which increasingly starts to recover voices within Malagasy political crisis.
