The on going talks concerning the national conference are…on going. The civil society is still struggling to reach unity. Some voices are calling upon the politically exiled Marc Ravalomanana and Didier Ratsiraka to be allowed back home, in view of a genuine national reconciliation.

One part of the civil society is longing for Didier Ratsiraka and Marc Ravalomanana’s returns home

Marc Ravalomanana has been remaining in South Africa since the year 2009, Didier Ratsiraka, in France since 2002, as both former presidents are condemned by the ruling power.

In the run of the national dialog’s preparation process, one part of the civil society is longing for these exiled former presidents to come home. The idea has sensibly shattered Andry Rajoelina’s High Authority of Transition.

Supporters of the HAT are absolutely ruling this option out. The proposal has revived the debate about the national reconciliation process
