OTIV ACOA Toamasina: members joining the streets…

On Wednesday morning, June 16th, the members of the OTIV ACOA Famonjena Toamasina laid barricades through the national road. They blocked Melville St. a main link to the national road to Antananarivo. At 08:00 am, set alight tires thoroughly blocked the traffic. A short couple of…hours later, police forces appeared and scattered the demonstrating ACOA Famonjena’s members. Talks subsequently occurred between them and the police forces, and the demonstrators finally decided to address  Antsiranana’s province chief. The demonstrators working for OTIV ACOA Famonjena have actually not yet been paid, although the independence day’s expected hot party for all Malagasy is nearing. The organization’s office is, besides, still closed. The demonstrators’ talks held with the province’s general secretary who replaced the provincial chief by that time. On this account, they are calling upon the High Authority of Transition’s leader to address the issue. Story to be continued.
