How should Iharizaka Rahaingoson be remembered? As a hero who stood against illegal, unconstitutional and byous orders from above? As a victim of political pressure from his superiors? The authority apparently decided to depict its former telecommunication minister with the worst possible picture: the corrupted and now fired traitor, the bad guy. Iharizaka Rahaingoson would be suspected of having links with MADAMOBIL, a company desperately denied authorization rights by the HAT. The Malagasy dictating leaders are now emulating a handful of foreign countries, France for example, when calling upon the State’s General Inspection Department, in order to do away with bothering figures.

Iharizaka Rahaingoson made this public in a statement without any political orientation. The State’s general inspection department has been starting to investigate Iharizaka Rahaingoson, minister for telecommunication, Post and new technologies, since Wednesday, August 18th 2010. The former minister has equally been investigated by the BIANCO, the anti corruption department since Thursday, August 19th, still concerning the MADAMOBIL file. Iharizaka Rahaingoson argued that he was willing to cooperate and provide all of the potentially required files, namely those of the years 2009 and 2010, to the BIANCO and to the General Inspection department.

His first ever political experience came true within Antananarivo’s governor’s office under Pascal Rakotomavo. His path toward the government was a matter of time. Iharizaka Rahaingoson unfortunately chose the worst possible opportunity to enter a pariah political arena. He learnt the lesson the hard way, but he remained at least true to some principles. This made him a predefined victim condemned to a short stay with such a corrupted power, unfortunately, or maybe not
