The new chief of the government laid by the High Authority of Transition, Colonel Camille Vital, has better keep it out for a little longer. The man he is supposed to replace refuses to leave; déjà vu isn't it?

Prime Minister Eugene Mangalaza refusing to go

Eugene Mangalaza, the national unity Prime minister empowered by the Maputo agreements, refuses to leave in spite of the dismissal order produced by the president of the High Authority of Transition. Rajoelina’s unilateral move, consequently putting an end to the Maputo process, might not go down in history as easily as expected.

Some days following his appointment, Colonel Camille Vital is short of office. Complains has been lodged by the political front opposed to Andry Rajoelina, to the State Council. The request is simply the cancellation of the new Prime minister’s appointment.

The national unity Prime minister, Eugene Mangalaza, confirmed that a deal between the political mobilities signatory of the Maputo and Addis Ababa agreements empowered him as government’s chief, and that only the same kind of deal would be entitled to take power away from him. On this account, the Prime minister of the national unity government which has so far failed to emerge, simply turns a blind eye on any order which would be appointing any “successor “.
