The High Authority of Transition's vice president, Roland Ratsiraka expressed his uncertainties about the legislative elections meant to be held in May.

Roland Ratsiraka concerned

The political situation is tense for everybody, even for the dictating power’s highest circles. The MTS party founder and HAT member, Roland Ratsiraka, made no secret of his concerns.

Since the legislative elections are meant to take place in three months, if ever, Roland Ratsiraka consequently estimated that preparations are supposed to be on their way to completion. THe reality is, however, very different.

Roland Ratsiraka reminded that nothing has yet been clearly defined about the independent national electoral Commission. Printing the unique ballot will equally take quite a long time, as printing paper has not yet been bought.

Roland Ratsiraka subsequently reminded that a certain number of former political detainees longing for running the elections are still in expectation of their amnesty. The HAT member’s pessimism is seemingly hinting that another postponment of the HAT legislative election is not to be ruled out that so early.
