Some groups of parliamentarians led by Cyrille Rasambozafy’s ESCOPOL do require the current government to be reshuffled before June, 26th. These black sheep of the parliamentarian family are holding the settlement Malagasy political crisis as beyond the abilities of the government currently led by Prime Minister Omer Beriziky.

Some parliamentarians want the government to be out

Cyrille Rasambozafy’s request stunned the audience in reaction to the arrest of one of his supporters in the run of the demonstration held in the capital city’s streets on June, 2nd. Congressman Razafindrakotoasimbola was arrested on that very day for having taken part and contributed to the demonstration organized by the FREE FM radio station on the Place of May 13th. The armed and police forces loyal to the High Authority of Transition argue that he would have shared money out to demonstrators. The court did not extend the case further more.

Cyrille Rasambozafy’s request actually stands very few chances to be heard. However, it does clearly reflect the growing tension inside the Malagasy ruling political class. Many more voice are not only longing for the government to step down, but also for the transitional leader to be kicked out, as a matter of fact.
