It seems that muscles are gradually getting flexed. Associations and politicians begin to reply to the harsh criticism vociferated by supporters of Andry Rajoelina and to one part of the international community as well, particularly about the FFKM’s leadership led mediation process related issue. The billionaire presidential candidate Sylvain Rabetsaroana led an offensive against Fatma Samura, the UNDP resident Spokeswoman in Madagascar.

Sylvain Rabetsaroana, a presidential runner up outraged by the UNDP spokeswoman

In an open letter published by the press, Rabetsaroana put it this way: “just like scares of my compatriots, I am shocked by the brutality of your say and by your contempt towards our people. We definitely do not consider Madagascar’s difficulties the same way. The difference between us, Madam, is the fact that I am from this country, loving it and proud of it. I neither claim outstanding intelligence not the right to arrogance to let an entire people know that it has no worth. In this I consequently see my duty, to  defend those you despise to the point of violating the very essence of what Christianity is for us … the Malagasy people you have so humiliated by looking down on its religious leaders, can certainly not enjoy anything comparable to your “salary” but  still holds to its dignity … “In the run of the latest meeting of the African Union’s Peace and Security Council, the UNDP spokeswoman expressed reluctance to accept the FFKM led action supposed to establish a neutral transition and likely to lead to the postponement of elections.
