The 18è ACP/EU Parliamentarian Round Assembly, opened on latest Monday, in Luanda, by the President of the Angolan Republic, José Eduardo Dos Santos, ended today with the approval of resolutions related to themes on the agenda.

The ACP-EU parliamentarians voted sanctions against Andry Rajoelina

According to the spokesman, Bornito de Sousa, the delegates approved resolutions on the climatic changes, the Economic Partnership Agreements’ negotiations, as well as on political instability situations which prevail in Niger, Madagascar and Guinea-Conakry.

For the case of Madagascar: the voted resolutions are pledging individual sanctions as bans on foreign accounts against authors of violence, bans to sign any new contract during the transitional period, which restricts the current leaders to the management of running business, until the total respect of agreements, and the immediate liberation of all political prisoners.

The Assembly had been a dead duck from scratch for Andry Rajoelina, blamed by the very first opening statement produced by Louis Michel, Belgian Co President of the Assembly, who, besides, called upon an independent inquiry of the events of January 26th and February 7th.

During this time, all of the three former presidents moved to Maputo to attempt to build the transitional government up, whose key seats’ assignment still remains the division bell.
