The civil society longing for a new mediation team in the Malagasy political crisis

 
The Dr. Simao recent attitude and statements are not to the civil society´s liking. The Mozambican mediator, in mission in Antananarivo for some days, is suspected of being pushing for the Transitional regime. 
One of the motives: In a meeting with the Prime minister Camille Vital and the armed forces´ representatives, Leonardo Simao willingly reassured the government’s chief concerning Marc Ravalomanana´s likely return to home country. The mediator unveiled that the ousted president actually asked for the SADC´s military protection on his way back to Madagascar, but the SADC refused. The demand took place following the recent Summit of Sandton which recommended the return of all politically exiled figures. 
The civil society didn’t forget either that the first roadmap version very much favorable to the Transitional regime originated from Leonardo Simao. 
Generally speaking, Leonardo Simao´s acts are definitely spoiling the High Authority of Transition, as reflected, for example, by his far to early hints of financial and technical support for the next elections. The same happened again when he announced that a governmental reshuffle would not be needed. No wonder that the civil society is reacting this way
