The Clerical Leaders' Movement or Hetsiky ny Mpitondra Fivavahana (HMF) solemnly announced on October 9th its support to Jean Louis Robinson, que le a annoncé le 9 octobre. Clerical Leaders' Movement is not willing to stay still and merely let things be the way they have to be on October 25th. It is eager to leave its footprint on the elections, according to its own members.

The Clerical Leaders’ Movement supporting the Ravalomanana political sphere’s presidential candidate

The Clerical Leaders’ Movement has never been famed by its leniency towards the transitional ruling power, which it blames for being responsible of Madagascar’s economic and social disaster. “We have always been calling upon this oppressive ruling power to be brought down, and still we are convinced that elections remain the best way to reach this end, hence our support pledged to Jean Louis Robinson” declared parson Roger Randriamisata. “A small minority from the ruling class has substantially gone wealthier over the transitional rule’s four years and a half whereas the largest part of the population has to survive largely below the poverty line. Now they are currently sharing money out in order to bribe potential voters” he added. Such a resounding protest has rarely been so openly vociferated so far. According to the Clerical Leaders’ Movement’s parson, the association is actively supporting Dr Jean Louis Robinson’s campaign, just as the Ravalomanana political sphere does, somehow also as a matter of retribution for what the group received from the ruling power. One member of this association was actually killed by security forces in 2010 during the clashes at the FIGN base camp, at Fort Duchesne. Some others were sent behind bars in the run of these events and many more ones got persecuted over several of the following months
