The participants to the national conference organized by the Confederation of Christian Churches in Madagascar (FFKM) have ultimately agreed on the need of a new "short" term transition. In short, the current ruling power’s whole structure is being challenged and widely shaken

The FFKM requires a new transition, a “short” term one

The resolution turned out by three days of crash series of talks longs for the appointment of a prime minister endowed with full power and a presidential council which would bring all of the former heads of state together. The presidential council would have but a mere symbolic relevance. Of course, the eventual establishment of this new transition implies that the game should be over for the current ruling power led by Rajoelina since the year 2009’s putsch. Some 200 political parties took part into the conference summoned by FFKM. Could a new transition ever emerge, the elections will be postponed. The resolution also calls upon the erection of a constituent assembly and upon the organization of a constitutional referendum prior to elections. Rounds of talks between the four political sphere leaders will also have to be resumed.
