A worshipping ceremony has been organized by the FJKM reformed church on January 17th. It quickly turned into an opportunity for this Protestant church to disparage the transition's deviations.

The FJKM against the abuses perpetrated by the HAT

Pastor Lala Rasendrahasina, president of the FJKM, has not swallowed his arbitrary and unjustified detention on March 17th, 2009. This event that happened in the course of the Coup process, has been recalled during Sunday’s ceremony held in Antsahamanitra. It was basically meant to officially kick start the FJKM activities for this new year.

The opportunity has been seized by the leaders of the FJKM to disparage the High Authority of Transition’s acts. “The church is being persecuted”, concluded Rasendrahasina.

A few thousands of supporters attended the ceremony in Antsahamanitra. Pastor Rasendrahasina confirmed that the church logically has the right and the duty to emerge from silence, as pledging support to the “Churchmen’s action” movement, so far the most vigorous reaction against the abuses perpetrated by the HAT.

The partisans of the HAT are lurking behind a so denounced violation of the separation of State ane Religion. Media groups supportive of Rajoelina are pretending that the FJKM is being used as a political instrument. The partisans of the HAT are actually certainly not keen to forget that Marc Ravalomanana is this Protestant church’s vice president to that day.
