The national day rang by “the division bell”

The national day never ever caused as much division. The High Authority of the Transition, controlled by the young putsch’s author Andry Rajoelina will be in Mahamasina for the traditional independence day ceremony. 21 shots of honour will be dedicated to him. On the program, as every year, a military parade and a cocktail at the presidential palace. 

The official ceremony, in spite of all, won’t welcome the diplomatic body. Ambassadors in Antananarivo don’t want to grant any special favour to the putsch’s regime. After a meeting on June 23, the ambassadors agreed on not to attend the ceremony at the Mahamasina stadium. 

However, the legalistic demonstrators gathered like every day on the Magro Place in Ankorondrano. They intend to celebrate the independence day their way, with or without Marc Ravalomanana, the exiled president whose the return home” before June 26th” has been repeatedly shouted on the rally place.  

The legalistic won’t be however not be the only ones to boycott the ceremony. The ex-president Albert Zafy’s political party also let know that it won’t attend the official ceremony of June 26th. Another parallel ceremony will be organized by this entity at the ex-president’s home in Ivandry.  

Three different celebrations therefore for a same national day. The putsch’s regime mobilized the big means to secure this celebration rang by the “division bell”.
