The meeting of Maputo on the Malagasy crisis will take place, with or without the involvement of the transitional president who decided to boycott the meeting.

The three political mobilities in Maputo without Andry Rajoelina

 

Andry Rajoelina refused to make for Maputo to the end. He had, besides, repeatedly let it known. A meeting of the four leaders of the big four Malagasy political mobilities ought to be taking place there though, mainly in order to unblock the setting up of the Transition’s new government. 

 

The three mobilities’ delegation members took off in the afternoon of December 3rd. The meeting will definitely take place in the Mozambican capital city. Didier Ratsiraka, Albert Zafy and Marc Ravalomanana will be present there. The other delegations believed to the last second that Rajoelina would have been among them, but a statement from the presidency definitely put an end to speculations. It specified that Rajoelina would not attend the new political mobilities’ meeting abroad. 

 

Fetison Andrianirina and Emanuel Rakotovahiny, Transition’s Co Presidents took off for Maputo to take part into the meeting; so did the national unity Prime Minister, Eugene Mangalaza. 

 

Following the bogged down national unity government’s erection, the Mozambican president, Armando Guebuza, actually invited the big four Malagasy political mobility leaders to return to the negotiation table.
