All of the Transition's institutions are not yet completely settled, but the new leaders are already competing on the ground.

The Transition’s Co President and the President of the Convention on a sensitization tour

The Transition’s Co President, Fetison Andrianirina, and the President of the Convention, Mamy Rakotoarivelo, both engaged a sensitization campaign in the Alaotra region, in the central eastern part of Madagascar, on Thursday November 19th.

It was both men’s opportunity to explain the Transition’s new position following the signature of the Additional Act in Addis Ababa. “The Transition is being, from now on, managed by all of the political mobilities bound by the Maputo and Addis Ababa agreements” specified the President of the Convention.

Both of Marc Ravalomanana’s collaborators toured across some towns of the region, of which Ambatondrazaka, Antanambe and Vohidiala. It is the second tour for Fetison Andrianirina and Mamy Rakotoarivelo following their involvement in the legalistic rally in the Antsirabe city.

The Marc Ravalomanana is, from now on, as decided to have a presence on the ground as Andry Rajoelina, president of the Transition, currently touring the country for different but apparently so pressing motives that he does no wait for long to unblock cash for his urgent needs: 2 billion Ariary have already been released for the Sirama state owned company workers’ delayed paychecks in Brickaville, a town of the country’s East.

The climate is electoral, pre campaigning is prevailing. “The priority is, at present, the national unit; we will address next the actions in view of elections” concluded Mamy Rakotoarivelo.
