The Transition’s congressmen denied entry into palace of Tsimbazaza

Political truce cannot come true, far from that. The battle between the High Authority of Transition, led by or leading Andry Rajoelina, and the triumvirate of mobilities signatory of the Maputo and Addis Ababa agreements. The political situation is currently far too much complicated to let the young putsch maker’s call for a lull to resound alongside his desperation to undisputedly rule the transition. 

On December 22nd, the three political mobilities’s leaders, opposed to Rajoelina’s moves, have marched in the morning towards the National assembly’s palace of Tsimbazaza in order to install congressmen. But the High Authority of Transition did not hear it this way. 

Security forces have been deployed all around the palace of Tsimbazaza. By noon, soldiers dispersed demonstrators gathered around the area with tear gas. The opposition front’s partisans have been pursued throughout the backstreets of Tsimbazaza.  

Some of the legalistic movement’s leaders, supportive of Marc Ravalomanana, have been forced to flee across rice fields located not far from the palace to escape the police forces. Parliamentarian Rasomotra was among them. He confirmed that “the struggle is on”. The parliamentarian is convinced that “any power compelled to such barbarous action is definitely on its way down”.
