In a broadcasted interview, one of his favourite show times, Andry Rajoelina unfolded his solution to put an end to the crisis and to restore constitutional order in Madagascar. He announced his "decision" to organize legislative elections supposed to lead to the erection of a "consensual and inclusive" government on one hand, and a national assembly for the fourth republic, on the other hand.

“transitional” show: a “unilateral” legislative elections on March 20th, 2010

“It is better to give the power back to the people!” One could believe this introduction to be that of Andry Rajoelina’s decision to announce short term presidential elections. It was not; he decided instead to organize legislative elections meant to be held on March 20th, 2010 totally unilaterally, no strings attached to any of the three other mobilities. These forthcoming representatives “of the people” will have heavy responsibilities in a transition very similar to a parliamentary regime. “The party or the association which will score the highest percentage will be entitled to propose the Prime minister’s name who will be designated by the transitional president “, he announced. Andry Rajoelina confirmed the present ministers, those of the Roindefo II government, in their functions. “We are not going to change government every three months”, he said. On the other hand, the Prime Minister’s seat will remain empty, unless the imposed authorities’ will change again. Vice Prime ministers are de facto proving un-necessary. “There will be no international deal signed by the present government “, tampered Andry Rajoelina. The ministers would only be there to keep things going. The new deputies would make the fourth republic’s constituent assembly. They would be voting the new constitution that will be proposed as the outcome of a national conference. “I dare to say that this constituent assembly will be multicoloured “, claimed Andry Rajoelina. He underlined that the assembly was allegedly monopolized by the TIM under the previous regime, and that “politicians did not dare to put candidates forth from fear of frauds”. The president of the HAT promised that “everybody will be able to become candidate, even the exiles oft the year 2002 “. Voting any law of amnesty prior to this show remains, however, quite unlikely. According Andry Rajoelina’s new vision, the consensual and inclusive government would be put in place after the elections, in total contradiction with the international community’s will to have such a government precisely to be in charge of the elections. The president of the HAT “promised” to imply politicians in the determination of the rules of the game. “The new electoral law must be complying with the present political context’s requirements and with the politicians’ expectations”. It will be coming into force by…”an order”. And it does not keep Andry rajoelina away from pretending that it will be the first free, fair and transparent election ever. The de facto authorities can de facto wave goodbye to any financial support from the international community. “Money stems exclusively from the Malagasy state”, proudly boasted Andry Rajoelina. However, he keeps on calling upon various available supports for the organization of these elections, though emphasizing on the Malagasy decision’s sovereignty. “The international community has been advising us during eight months, but we that the proposed solution leads to a failure. Nothing was as well as it was meant to be”. Therefore, he wants “the Malagasy people” to be left free to decide for “its” future.
