The dictatorship imposed by the latest militarily supported popular unrests is regularly being shaken by shambles within the armed forces. The presumed Coup to be allegedly ignited by the hypothetical conquest of the Prime Minister's facilities has definitely sealed division. Anti HAT officers and soldiers pressured by the dictatorship are increasingly willing to clear for action while the pro Rajoelina ones are renewing loyalty to their leader.

The army increasingly undermined by division: the HAT quacking

The occupation of Mahazoarivo would not have been meant to be a cause for a blood bath, as lately hinted by the joint chief of headquarters and the Special Intervention. Force’s commander. One of the suspects revealed on live that the putsch making elements would have been supposed to enter the Prime minister’s palace without clashes. Besides, the servicing guards would have be warned, once the penetration completed through passwords. The operation would have been symbolic, and in no way strategic, could it have succeded. He/it was not anything of it because the project has been aborted. The involvement of “accomplices” and collaborators from inside is undeniable.

According to various leaks, the Mahazoarivo operation would have only been a launching pad for a larger process. The technically very elusive putsch aiming at reversing the HAT leader would not necessarily be the goal. It would just have been a matter of concrete pressure designed in order to enforce a settlement of the crisis . The concerned superior officers were meant to produce a statement from the occupied palace, the armed forces’ central command facility. The issue is a pure military case. The HAT is straining to charge Marc Ravalomanana by taking advantage from the involvement of previous presidential security agents. The accusations have been rejected by the ouste president’s spokesman as well as the mobility’s delegation chief.

The joint chief of headquarters is, besides, striving to preserve what’s left of the arme forces’ unity. “Acting militaries have been spotted, as a matter of fact. Clashes between militaries are absolutely off the point, we are doing our best to prevent this”, said general André Ndriarijaona. It regreted that efforts meant to pledge peace and stability are repeatedly undermined by destabilization forces.  “The armed forces’ solidarity is paramount”, emphasized the CEMGAM. But superior officers and soldiers remained loyal to the ousted president are questioning such an unity, as a matter of fact. On the other hand, Andry Rajoelina’s earliest allies are increasingly pushing for another “scheme”.

The famous Colonel Raymond Andrianjafy has been mentioned by a suspect arrested in Ambohijanaka. The national state police’s intervention forces’ maverick showed no evidence of fear. “Had I done it, I would not be scared of owing it up; but for the sake of a Coup, I would never play John Rambo and bully the rest of the nation, I would conquer through ideas and in no way through violence”. Bold introduction to the fact that “colonel Raymond” has ideas of his to settle the country’s crisis.

“This scheme, made of a committee and a roadmap, is pledging insurances against confrontations”, explained the FIGN’s operational commander. The idea?” a military committee and a hybrid government in charge of exclusively preserving security in Madagascar “. The proposal might serve general Noel Rakotonandrasana’s Joint Superior Council for Mediation and Ethics could benefit. The crisis ignited by a hybrid military and civilian movement would only be settled by a hybrid military and civilian cure.
