The longer the crisis lasts, the more ground is being won by insecurity. In the north of Madagascar, in Antalaha, the very home belonging to Omer Beriziky, the transitional prime minister was targeted by a raid which claimed one casualty.

The guard which opposed the raiders was killed. No one knows yet whether it was a simple robbery or an emphatic political warning. Andry Rajoelina, the transitional leader recently ordered his government to deal with the growing insecurity in the country.
