Andry Rajoelina, the transitional leader, opened one new hospital, housing facilities erected as part of the “presidential projects” as well as the restored City Hall building in Toamasina. He decided to meet with the local population, and celebrate as per usual with much much party fun, music and dance. Andry Rajoelina also took the opportunity to announce his candidacy at the year 2018’s presidential elections. Il a eu l'occasion de rencontrer la population locale. Comme à chaque cérémonie d'inauguration, il y a eu beaucoup de musique et beaucoup de danse. Andry Rajoelina, the transitional leader, wanted the legislative elections to be completed before tackling the presidential election basically supposed to take place in May 2013 in Madagascar. He even announced his intention to alter the electoral calendar when he made pull out of the presidential race public. The International Community does not buy the point. The SADC’s latest officially stated stand emphasized that the electoral calendar is not to be altered any more. The presidential elections’ knock out round will have to come true on May 8th. It’s playoffs and the legislative elections will follow suit in July. Le chef de la Transition, Andry Rajoelina, avait proposé la tenue des élections législatives avant la présidentielle déjà prévue en mai prochain à Madagascar. Il a annoncé son intention de modifier le calendrier électoral, quand il a rendu public, lors d'une déclaration, sa décision de se retirer de la course à la présidentielle. La Communauté internationale est toutefois contre la proposition. Une déclaration de la SADC a réitéré le maintien du calendrier électoral déjà établi. A savoir le premier tour de la présidentielle, le 8 mai et le deuxième tour, jumelé avec les législatives en juillet. La même déclaration a préconisé également une mesure d'amnistie pour Marc Ravalomanana et pour Andry Rajoelina, les deux protagonistes de la crise malgache, qui ont accepté de se retirer de la course à la magistrature suprême.
