Help for Deaf and Dumb Center from Japan.
The deaf and Dumb Education center AKAMA has just received a financial boost from Japan. The education center which serves 133 students presently, was created in 1985.
According to the TRIBUNE ,?Help from the Japanese government is in the works and will follow their magnanimous gift to AKAMA of 68,818 euros or about 177 million ar.
The signature of the Japanese Ambassador to Madagascar, Osamu Yoshihara, signed this gift into being yesterday at Isoraka. The Japanese ambassador is quite convinced of the necessity of supporting this type of educational center. This money will be spent in adding a three story extension to their existing building. This will include 6 brand new classrooms, a kitchen training center, and a large hall. This construction work will begin very soon.
