Work is about to begin on the new port at Ehoala in the south of Madagascar. The TRIBUNE writes, ?Qit Minerals of Madagascar intends to build a bridge on the Ehoala peninsula close by Fort Dauphin. This development of the Ilmenite project in the ANOSY region will produce local development and the fallout will produce positive effects both socially and economically. The agreement between the business partners was signed at the Madagascar Hilton on the 11th April. So it looks like great things are finally in the works for the Qit Mineral Exploitation Company that has been established here since 29 years. The company has been involved in socially advantageous projects such as local school construction and establishing nurseries to replant the forests before undertaking the construction of the port.
A new port is required for the exportation of Ilmenite in the south of Madagascar.
