After the disaster caused by Hubert, SOS Vatovavy Fitovinany is born

The association is presided by professor Kapisy, a native of the region. SOS Vatovavy Fitovinany is intending to collect help, and ship it to the area. Reconstruction and mobilization of the whole population, particularly the region’s migrated natives, are also on schedule. 

Some weeks after the storm, body count is still going on in the southeastern part of Madagascar. Six regions have been affected by the meteor, including Vatovavy Fitovinany left in ruins with a significant number of victims. 

According to the competent authorities’ reports, Hubert had left some 70 fatalities behind throughout the Great Isle’s south eastern part. The number of homeless people is largely over 140,000. Data are continuously coming in, such a report is consequently, and unfortunately, still temporary.
