The Andry Rajoelina's electoral schedule might be upset again. The national dialog's postponement is certainly going to trigger a butterfly effect.

The referendum probably postponed

Holding a referendum on August 12th is become a very risky bet. The president of the National Independent Electoral Commission was keen on reminding that if the popular consultation was held on the same date, the constitutional draft would have to be ready on no later than June 28th. The condition is not to be negotiated since the electoral campain will have to last for 45 days.
However, even the national dialog’s chosen date is still not known. The organization of the 119 districts’ preliminary meetings, basically meant to be reduced to meetings in each of the 22 regions, is going to make a complicated situation even worse.
A postponed referendum is certainly going to alter the High Authority of Transition’s electoral calendar. One can expect the HAT version of the Transition to keep on going over 2011, unless the history is getting upset by a ultimate but eluding agreement between the political mobilities… or by a miracle.
