Gérard Clain, a very passionate sculptor for almost 20 years, has decided to dedicate his art to humanitarian causes. Actually, hearing about Father Pedro’s charity association, “Akamasoa”, from the Father Pedro’s friends Association in Saint Gilles, La Reunion, Gérard Clain decided to bring his contributions in order to support Akamasoa’s activities in helping poor people. For that, he plans to organize an auction of 45 pieces of his art works collection which will take place on September, 11 in Ilet Furcy, La Reunion. Justifying his decision, Gérard Clain argued: “With sculpture, I have had a revelation. I was aware that I had something to give. It is for this reason that I got in touch with the Father Pedro’s friends Association in Saint Gilles in order to organize a fund-raising auction in favor of the Akamasoa Association”. Indeed, 30% of the auction’s benefits will be forwarded to Father Pedro’s association. Besides, in addition to the auction, the sculptor also intends to organize a whole-month exhibition, and once again, a part of the benefits from that exhibition will be given to the association.
