Homeopharma : a study of the potentials of plants in Madagascar

Madagascar possesses one of the most important and huge biodiversity sites in the world. Not amazing that the Great Island is generally called by most biologists and botanists as « the 7th continent ».Thanks to the age of its forests and its isolation, Madagascar is an ideal and exceptional refuge for many thousands of species of plants existing nowhere in the world. Actually, Madagascar possesses more than 12.000 species of aromatic and healing herbs.

Inheriting a 200 years-old traditional practice, Homeopharma takes care of every process of making aromatic and healing herbs, from the plantation to the laboratory. Possessing and cultivating on 600ha of forests in different localities of Madagascar, including Antananarivo, Brickaville, Fianarantsoa, Mahajanga, Homeopharma plants, harvests, supervises peasants during cultivation period. According to a recent study made by Homeopharma, some species of plants existing in Madagascar revealed highly successful in the treatment of disease like the benign prostatic hypertrophy after being tested on 48 patients, and that is despite the absence of any scientific proofs explaining its functioning mechanism.
