Analakely´s strores angered

This is a mean to drive the city authority´s attention to focus on the swarming wandering traders’ phenomenon in Antananarivo´s streets. Such an “illegal” activity is actually quite seriously hindering the store´ trade. Having potential customers consuming products lying on the pavement rather than those presented by stores is no exception no more.

A new area has been dedicated to some 8000 street traders. Sidewalks are not being emptied for so much. The phenomenon is definitely linked to the country´s economic collapse as records of jobless people decided to make money from small scale trade.

The city authority´s led forced evacuation has reached its limits in evicting traders from Antananarivo´ streets. Analakely´ stores confirmed that many other retailers would be bound to support their cause. Further discontent demonstrations are likely to come true
