The Central Bank of Toamasina has issued 69 billion Ariary in six months

The branch institution of the Central Bank of Madagascar in Toamasina is now enjoying important success. That success is showed by the institution’s last 5 years records which are available in the Clearing House located at the Independence Avenue of Toamasina. In regard to that, the Managing Director of the Central Bank of Madagascar, Ratovondrahona Richard Guy, during the celebration of the 35th anniversary of the institution revealed that “by the end of the first semester of this year, the Central Bank of Toamasina has issued 69 billion Ariary”.

The Central Bank of Toamasina is ranked at the first place as being the most successful branch of the Central Bank of Madagascar in the different regions of the country. The bank’s performance was both recorded in bank transaction as well as in bank issuing. It is worth mentioning that in 1976, the first branch of the Central Bank of Madagascar in Toamasina was located in the intersection between the Boulevard Joffre and the Boulevard de Lattre de Tassigny, where is now located the office of the BNI-CL bank.

Since 1976, 7 branch managers have succeeded one another at the head of the bank. The branch of the Central Bank of Madagascar, currently managed by Mrs. Dewa Ramjee Rachel, meets the economic needs of Toamasina. “The Central Bank of Toamasina can make massive payments and can perform remote electronic clearing system”, explained Dewa Ramjee Rachel.
