FRDR : fight against food insecurity

             The « Fonds Régional de Développement Rural » (Regional Funds for Rural Development) or FRDR,  for the benefit of the Vakinankaratra region, has just been launched. The FRDA are expected to be implemented this year in 22 regions with the effective contribution of technical and financial partners such as the European Union, the Fida, the AFD, the Swiss Inter-Cooperation and the World Bank.  

             These funds were made available, with the support of technical and financial partners, to promote favorable working conditions in order to improve productivity in rural areas. In other words, these funds are intended to reduce as much as possible the lack of financial and technical support in rural community, which is mainly caused the socio-political crisis experienced by the country. In short, funds like the FRDR will therefore contribute in part to fight against food insecurity in rural areas.
