Ambatovy Project: Funding of a new agricultural training center

The Regional Rural Development Office (DRDR) of the Atsinanana Region and the Ambatovy Project signed a collaboration agreement on the establishment of an agricultural training center in Brickaville. This project aims to improve the competence and productivity of peasants and farmers in the district.

The center will complement the other two centers that are already operational in Toamasina and Moramanga. For DRDR, the establishment of such center is part of its main goals which are to triple agricultural production and reduce rural poverty. For Ambatovy, the center is another step in its effort to improve food security and livelihoods of the households living in its intervention areas.
