Land O’Lakes: the project hits its closing phase

Thanks to the contribution of American tax-payers, through the USDA, Madagascar could benefit from the development project of the dairy sector which has already hit its closing phase. With all the efforts undertaken for the last couple of years, Land O’Lakes hopes that the capitalization and the sustainability of the knowledge acquired during the project will be maintained.

In the beginning of the project, while Land O’ Lakes focused more on monitoring the interprofessional activities in the dairy sector, the Malagasy Dairy Board (MDB) was in charge of its revitalization, structuring and reinforcement. With the support and contribution of the Ministry of Livestock and t he application of a strong dairy policy, along with the mobilization of all the stakeholders in rural development, entrepreneurship, public health and nutrition sector, the continuity of the monitoring can be guaranteed.
