A unique land office in Antananarivo to reduce corruption

As part of the implementation of the reforms adopted by the Ministry in charge of development and town and country planning, the unique land office of the land services of Antananarivo was inaugurated on May 16, with 17 892 832 MGA expenses on infrastructure and 29 million MGA on diverse equipments, in addition to computers which were offered by various donors.

From now on, the ministerial department in charge of this new land office will make every effort to encourage users and clients to come and to use directly the services of the new office’s trained personnel and no longer resort to the service of a middleperson. The establishment of this unique land office aims to fight against corruption in this sector and to render all the tasks in this sector easier and smoother.

As far as the region of Analamanga is concerned, nearly 25% of land books issued during the royalty period are now damaged. Hence, a service is being created to develop a legal framework that will restore those losses.
