Case of February 7th, 2009: Militaries wanted and arrest warrant against Ravalomanana

The situation is far from a lull with the political tension. The High Authority ofTransition’s devoted Justice keeps on pushing for the confinment of Marc Ravalomanana’s proxies, presidential guards and collaborators in the run of the February 7th case. 

Some men in uniform are rather embarrassed. « The presidential guard only did its duty » revolted an armed forces’ colonel, for being himself a former member of the presidential guard. « Their duty is the protection of the palace against any invasion attempt » he concluded. 

The Malagasy HAT Justice even went as far as calling upon cooperation from the international Justice in order to put Marc Ravalomanana under house arrest. For the time being, Madagascar has no judicial cooperation treaty with South Africa, and with no other countries due to the year 2009’s undemocratic putsch.
