The HMF group’s parsons do invite the population on Saturday, March 9th to join a worship gathering for the Nation deemed to take place at the green theater of Antsahamanitra. Renewed strife in Mandritsara

The four ministers sent by the transitional ruling power to Mandritsara in the North of the country found it quite hard to leave the place. Demonstrators set blockades up on the streets and on the local airport’s runway. The wrath stirred by the previous clashes with security forces did not come down. The demonstrators are requiring justice to be done, the hard way, in response to the murder of an 82 years old cleric Lire la suite »

Averted self administered justice raid in Mandritsara

Infuriated mobs tried to put their hands on the suspected murderers of an 82 years old cleric in Mandritsara, in the north of Madagascar. They wanted to beat the suspects to death, following their arrest; they even tried to storm into the detention center in which they were held in custody, but security forces deployed to avert the massacre. The clashes claimed one casualty and several wounded persons were reported Lire la suite »

Strike inside the BFV Société Générale bank

The BFV Société Générale bank’s employees tackled an unlimited strike from March, 5th on. The triggering issue: a wage related conflict. The employees required a plus 30 percent rise on their paycheck, and merely got 10 percent instead. However, various other more far reaching issues actually happen to be stirring trouble within the bank. Amnesty but not for Marc Ravalomanana

All those indicted in the BANI case got an amnesty. The case referred to a attempted putsch back in 2006 against Marc Ravalomanana, and not to that of the same name which required Rajoelina’s transitional power to step down. General Andrianafidisoa and those of his own are thereupon the first ones to be entitled to the amnesty recommended by the SADC. The first beneficiaries are part of Marc Ravalomanana’s adversaries. General Tsaranazy, condemned in 2002, Pierrot Rajaonarivelo, contender into the next presidential election have both been granted with an amnesty. Marc Ravalomanana is not on this list. And nothing hints that his name would ever be found in any of the next ones, since the transitional ruling power appears absolutely not bound to accept his return from his south African exile. Even his wife, merely expecting to visit her mother at the hospital, was hindered from coming back home Lire la suite »

Lalao Ravalomanana allowed to recover Madagascar under certain conditions though

The former Malagasy first lady will be allowed to recover her native island within the next few days, if she wants to, and if she accepts the transitional regime’s leader’s conditions. Lalao Ravalomanana will be allowed to visit her seriously sick mother who has been taken to the hospital some weeks earlier. The transitional leader obviously does not want such a call in from Lalao Ravalomanana to serve any political incentive. She has been remaining abroad in exile in South Africa since Marc Ravalomanana got ousted by a putsch back in 2009. In July 2012, she got driven out by the ruling power at the airport when trying to come home. The former president’s supporters appeared particularly offended by the conditions issued by the transitional leadership this time around Lire la suite »
