Illegal trade: not only rose wood
These latest months have been dominated by the illegal rose wood exports. These are however not the single danger for Malagasy nature. The WWF recently reported an on going illegal trade of Madagascar´s turtles, strictly protected species. An assessed number of 60 000 smuggled turtles over the latest years is being addressed. The electoral register´s draft related problems
The national and independent electoral commission is expecting to complete the electoral register´s draft by the end of July. Its agents scattered across the territory are however appearing skeptical. Scores of electoral census leaflets have not been returned, according to one of these agents´report on radio waves in the capital city.
