Guy Ralaiseheno: only some days left to be spent behind bars
Guy Maxime Ralaiseheno, the president of the Union of Madagascar´s Mayors will be released on Saturday, Janurary 22nd. He was basically condemned to a 2 months long jail sentence for having led a polical gathering in the capital city. The High Authority of Transition´s security forces arrested him for violation of an official ban on political meetings. The opposition reacted to the arrest. Hundreds of people have been arrested since the beginning of the crisis in 2009 after the putsch which propelled Andry Rajoelina on top of the state.
