Dr Ulrich Hochschild, the new Chargé d’Affaires of the German Embassy in Madagascar

The Federal Republic of Germany has just appointed a new Chargé d’Affaires, Dr Ulrich Hochschild, to serve in its Embassy in Madagascar. He succeeds the former Chargé d’Affaires, Dr Hans Dietel Stell who left Madagascar on February 22, after 2 years and half of tenure as a diplomat, and headed for the Viet-Nam where he will be the director of the German General Consulate in Ho-Chin-Minh-ville.

Concerning the new Chargé d’Affaires, he has already been in office since a couple of days now. Born in 1949, Dr Ulrich Hochschild is single. He holds a Doctorate of Arts and followed various preparatory trainings in diplomatic and consular services. He was a permanent representative of the Federal Republic Germany at the UN headquarters in New York. Between 2005 and 2011, he was the German ambassador in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. And before coming to Madagascar, he was the German General Consul in Strasbourg.
