It was basically deemed to be a simple moral case. The scene of a church shooting a exorcism ceremony sensibly similar to pornography, sored the audience when the footage was broadcasted. The HAT justice and state consequently addressed the issue. The FPVM church puts a victim´s face and points as those ones who shot and broadcasted the footage as scapegoats.

FPVM case: a parson is guilty, the church would not be so

The production and broadcast of a pornographic footage, as supposed to be illustrated by the FPVM case, is a violation of the law. The church, supportive of the HAT leaders, may stands by gratitude for its role in the year 2009´s events, and expect no retaliation from the HAT justice. Investigators immediately ruled the church´s potential involvement in the incriminating act and pushed for the plot theory. The first consequent arrests did not really improve the situation, since many people bought the CD and loaded its content up online.

The actors and actresses casted in the movie have been arrested. The justice will have to take a stand concerning these people and their director´s responsibility in this obscene exorcism ceremony. Are the other members of the FPVM attending the ceremony going to be held as accomplices? The case´s moral side is likely to hit the church. The justice has arrested a parson, a” mpiandry ” named Rija and a cameraman.

The FPVM is naturally denying any involvement. Parson Jean Joseph Randrianantoandro previously argued that the movie was shot as the temple of Antaninanandrano was closed, and holds on to this clumsy defense. Since the movie was shot during the night, the church´s involvement is off the point for any access to the facility is forbidden beyond 19:00. It merely demonstrates however that the offending “mpiandry” were not allowed to proceed to exorcism during the night, and nothing else.

As a matter of fact, the exorcism ceremony was conducted by a FPVM parson, in the FPVM temple, in front of a FPVM audience. Since the footage was shot and then extensively distributed, obviously against the church´s will, FPVM parson Randrianantoandro claimed to have been the victim of a plot, directed against the church in the run out of a persecution campaign going back to the very creation of the FPVM. The chief of the church of Antaninanandrano rejected the voices calling him a guru embedded in dark magic.

The alliance between the FPVM church and the dictatorial power is making any judicial retaliation against parson Randrianantoandro very unlikely. The plot theory is on its way down like a lead balloon, as doubts concerning the FPVM church´s religious deviations are remaining. The FPVM should also include the ban on the use of cameras in its rules.
