Lahiniriko, third candidate for the next presidential elections.

 The former Speaker of the House wants a fight. Dismissed by the deputies, after having been striken from the party of the current President, Jean Lahiniriko has joined the ranks of the opposition. The former Speaker is now a candidate in the next Presidential election scheduled for December 3, 2006. At the present time he is surrounded by members of the opposition, united in the fight agasinst Marc Ravalomanana, his old boss. President Ravalomanana has yet to formally announce as a candidate. Three politicians have already thrown their hats in the ring for the Presidency: Jean Lahiniriko, Andriamanjato, a former minister, and Roland Ratsirika, Mayor of Toamasina and a nephew of the former President.
