March 8th's Women's day has been an occasion for both "first Malagasy ladies" to shine under the spotlights." Mialy Rajoelina, the High Authority of the Transition's leader's wife, and Lalao Ravalomanana, the exiled president's wife, both addressed cheering messages to Malagasy women.

March 8th: « Both First ladies » attracting the Malagasy women’s attention

Mialy Rajoelina made her shows in celebrating gathering in the capital city’s Malacam stadium, and during another one in Antsohihy, in Madagascar’s North West. 

On the other hand, Lalao Ravalomanana addressed another message of her South African exile land. Both « First Ladies » presented their best wishes to the Great Isle’s women. Besides, Lalao Ravalomanana has called upon patience in the current crisis’ settlement. 

In the end, March 8th became an opportunity to display the on going deep polarization on political reasons. Marc Ravalomanana’s supporters and those of the other political mobilities true to the Maputo agreements organized a parallel demonstration today in celebration of March 8th. A parade marched up to former president Albert Zafy’s home, and presented congratulations to Theresa Zafy, a former first lady.
